Our society in 21st century has been transformed from Knowledge to Innovation society. Innovation concerns the use of knowledge for the creation of new ideas that leads to products and services that can be successfully sold in the market or in new enterprising activities that improve the operation, the flexibility and the adaptability of enterprise to the continuously changing conditions of market. The scope of this paper is to accentuate a paradox. Neither the industry nor the academics are able to manipulate innovation (or even measure it). On the other hand, many models can measure innovation’s diffusion. So actually, the result of an innovation can be seen, be quantified and measured while the cause of the measured result is miss measured or not measured at all. This is a major research issue and a matter of the basic concept of innovation and the industry’s attitude arises. Is innovation a function or an attitude that comes to a tangible outcome? This paper is the outcome of combination of innovation concepts around the word and its scope is to present and analyze a formula that gives a firms Innovation Capability score – or better The Firm’s Innovation Attitude Score (FIAS) - as long as the variables to improve it.en_US
