Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie niektórych aspektów faktoringu z punktu widzenia finansowego. Uwaga w artykule koncentruje się na definicji i charakterystyki faktoringu, usług podstawowych i podstawowych rodzajów tej formy finansowania. W kolejnych sekcjach artykułu analizuje koszty usług faktoringowych i jej wpływu na stopień dźwigni operacyjnej.
