A multiparametric MR approach (eg, conventional imaging, hemodynamic MRI, diffusion weighted MRI and MR spectroscopic imaging) enhances our ability to evaluate and treat pediatric brain tumor patients. The development of a local database will provide an infrastructure for better data collection and management as well as more power and flexibility in detailed data analysis. A well-organized database system will have significant implication for the clinical management and research in every brain tumor tracking project. Finally a large-scale database that will share data between different sites in order to be effective has to be easily accessible and overcome the different data formats. We describe a novel negotiation approach to building such large projects.en_US
