In a composite radio environment (CRE), different wireless access technologies can be co-operating components of a combined heterogeneous infrastructure. In this case, the network provider can rely on diverse radio technologies for an effective coverage of demanding service area regions, in terms of cost and provisioned quality. The exploitation of a wireless system, operating in a composite radio context, requires upgraded service and network management capabilities. This contribution presents a Quality of Service management framework for heterogeneous wireless access networks, capable of optimising service delivery and traffic distribution in composite radio environments. Focus is given on a CRE comprising of GPRS, W LAN, and DVB-T technologies.en_US
