Abstract:
The rising issue of corruption in the public sector could be solved by adopting an innovative technology, such as blockchain, which offers data transparency and immutability. We present the opportunities of using blockchain technology in the transactions of the public sector of education and a conceptual approach for the adoption of this technology by the staff of the University of West Attica. Our research has practical value for the information technology managers of the public sector who wish to integrate blockchain into public organizations because we also suggest gaming features for the main public sectors.
