Achieving innovation involves various aspects of business operations and information systems. Even though, technology is regarded as a significant factor, for businesses’ transformation under Industry’s 4.0, human factor still lies in the core of creating, developing and effectively implementing innovation. The objective of the paper is to provide a framework of analysis for the knowledges, skills and competencies portraying Managers’ occupation category, according to European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) database. The above–mentioned database provides information about how each single occupation, belonging in the above–mentioned group of occupations, is structured in terms of skills, competencies and knowledges, both essential and optional. We utilize association rule learning methodology for extracting patterns between knowledges, skills and competencies. Most frequent mixtures of knowledges, skills and competencies are discussed in regard to recent innovation frameworks.en_US
