Abstract: | The contribution of competent keynote speakers to the organization of events plays an important role in shaping participants’ perceptions for attending them. The increase in participation levels lies on the communication strategy that includes the participation of competent keynote speakers so as to attract more participants. The research reveals that the new e-mail marketing communication, based on the announcement of the keynote speaker’s participation, positively influences the perceptions of potential participants so as to visit the library's website. By ensuring the participation of competent keynote speakers, the event manages to add value to its services, based on the organizational communication theory that mainly succeeds in private organizations (Cheney, 2007). Adding value in the services offered by a library event can contribute to the achievement of higher levels of participation. The research further highlights the importance of competent keynote speakers’ involvement in motivating potential participants to attend an event. The optimization of the entire process is achieved with the contribution of the dynamic simulation model. |
