Abstract:
This work presents the formula tion of a meta-model for architecture heritage, a top-level data model that tries to encompass the common aspects of all the specifications in the domain of build heritage. The model incorporates definitions of some of the essential concepts that re present the underlying con- ceptualisation of the information contained in an architectural work. Finally the article presents ArMOS (Architecture Metadata Object Schema), a metadata schema underlying this mode l, aiming at reducing hete rogeneity in the descrip- tion of architectural works, especially hi storic buildings and structuring data so that it can be interlinked and become more useful.
